Zero interest in piling on Brandon, but he was sulking on the bench, no question. Brandon is a good player. He's not a good fit next to Z for the simple reason that, in the modern NBA, you can't have the two stars of your team, who get the most money and take the most shots, be non-three point shooters and average defenders. You just can't. So, one of them has to go.

Zion, if healthy, clearly has a higher ceiling than Brandon and we can already see how the roster can work around Zion. Z has the potential to be a Giannis-level player. He can possibly be a number one on a contender. Can't see that for one-time all-star, non-three-point-shooting Ingram.

The team as it is now (this season) is better with BI. We would have been top 6 or better if he didn't get injured, but he gets injured for long periods almost every season. At this point, we can't keep betting on our 2 best players being injury-prone to finally be healthy. It's as simple as that. One of them has to go.

I believe that with a better coach, BI, Zion, CJ, and the rest could fit together much better. However, at this point, the injuries are undeniable. We can't just keep running it back even if we wanted to.
