I can't stand Baldwin but I'd love to know what SOP is on a movie set. My initial thought is the armorer takes care of the safety aspect so the actor can just ac
Taken directly from SAG guidelines which are attached below:
- always assume a weapon is loaded and dangerous
- never point it at anyone
- never put finger on trigger unless ready to shoot
- anyone issued a firearm must be fully trained on the weapon

Based on the law, Baldwin should be found guilty. It’s not the bullets that will sink Baldwin. It’s the fact that during a REHEARSAL he had the gun fully cocked, with his finger on the trigger, and pointed it directly at someone WITHOUT ensuring that the gun was empty. This is criminal negligence in ever state. Since it was a rehearsal, there shouldn’t have been anything in the gun.
It came out during the armorer trial that Baldwin was extremely reckless in other scenes.
- shooting off blanks in frustration after CUT
- using his gun as a pointing stick to direct people where to go
Three things had to happen for a death on set:
- wrong bullets loaded into the gun (armorer)
- gun had to be pointed at someone (Baldwin)
-gun had to be fully cocked and the trigger pulled (Baldwin)
It also came out that in the fall of 2023, Baldwin was trying to do a documentary on the shooting and was putting a lot of pressure on prosecution witnesses to be interview for it. Thats potential witness tampering.

I dont know how many of you were raised around guns. I can tell you this, someone could check a shotgun to ensure it has no shells, immediately hand it to me.....and if I did not check it again myself my dad would whip that arse.
Tell me some of you trust that girl you just picked up while on vacation to hand you one of her condoms???? They love to put pin pricks in the package, make them a little tourist baby.
Always inspect fellas, always.

quote:Your own link says that the armored is the only person allowed to load and unload a firearm. It also talks about production requirements for a firearm to be pointed at a person or camera.
