Do you understand you are deciding to use race, but what’s the more correlate statistic is socioeconomics.
There are a multitude of black neighborhoods in places like Atlanta, PG and Montgomery county, etc that are infinitely safer for all races than some white trailer park in middle America.

Yet in Appalachia, thu historical homicide and violent crime rate is not as high as "other" places.
Appalachia had its time during Prohibition though. Similar to the drug trade now in the hood.
