Same here. One time the wire was corroded, other time it failed. Ended up bypassing it like the seat and parking brake switches.

Funny that you would say that. I inherited my dad's zero turn when he died. He had so many things by passed I couldn't make heads or tails what was going on. He was from the old school of just winging it to you get it started. Was really fun when you heard a book and fire was shooting out. I said the hell with that and got this mower. Should have gone with the john dear. This is a craftsman z5800. Been great until last week.
