Hey man, have the docs talked to you at all about diet? I was told I had diverticulitis, put on antibiotics, CTs, hospital stays, all of it. Turns out I had become lactose intolerant later in life and had a few other food sensitivities. My gut was so inflamed because of it all they just called it diverticulitis. I eventually figured it out with some advice from friends but the GI docs never once asked me about diet. Cut out dairy and some other foods and fixed 5 years of problems in 3 weeks. Consider looking into it if you haven’t before you get cut on.

Also might be worth looking into microscopic colitis as a dx. I can't eat anything high in fiber. Colonoscopy showed extra lymphocytes-- lymphocytic colitis. I manage it with diet. No raw veggies and I have to take lactaid with dairy. It's so so much better. I did 3 rounds of heavy duty antibiotics that did nothing for it before they finally realized what it was.
