The swastika was not a sign of hate originally. Hitler took it from the Buddhist religion.
The swastika never stopped being used as a symbol of divinity and spirituality in Indian religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. From Wikipedia. A girl I dated was Buddhist and her brothers coffin had it on the shroud. Of course I had to ask why

Can we stop with this shite? Swastikas have been used by multiple ethnic and religious groups for millennia, including European ones. It wasn’t “taken” from Buddhists.
