Nope...still have Good Friday. Used to have a companion day to go along with the 4th of July...they dropped the extra day there to add MLK day 10-15 years ago.

Beautiful weather, kids off school, and we have to work. But at least we get Monday Jan 16th off. It’s stupid.

Mine did. Used to be a flex holiday pick on or the other.

However, I had to work MLK so I get tomorrow off anyways…..

This is basically asking whose employer sucks by swapping holidays instead of, god forbid, adding another holiday to the calendar.

My company went to giving us two floating holidays to use when we chose. Ironically they don’t pay us out for these two days if we leave the company so pretty much every one uses them as the first two vacation days of the year.

Swapped Good Friday for President’s day years ago. Doesn’t make sense, we are open when everyone is closed and closed when everyone is open.

We get 7 floating holidays added to our PTO. I prefer it that way. You get paid extra to actually work a holiday but it is done on a skeleton crew and you never actually have to work a single one because people volunteer. Downside to working in a facility that is 24/7/365, but I only work 3.5 days a week. Trying to get that down to 3 days a week.

Mine gives us MLK, but never has given us Good Friday, so I take a vacation day every year.

We get them all. Good Friday, MLK and MG. Maybe Juneteenth will become a holiday eventually. Peer pressure can benefit us.
