I don't know this writer from Adam. I don't know if he and Staley suck each other's dicks. All I know is that I did actually read that previous article (linked below). And while it criticizes Kelly's deal, it is not a "hit piece" specifically targeting Kelly. It rather comments on the socioeconomic discrepancies between high profile hires and those at the lower end of the spectrum... from the perspective of a black guy who had his dreams dashed. The same story could be told in Austin and Tuscaloosa. It is a story about economics and broken dreams. Nothing more.
Now Kim latched on and in the context of whatever is about to come out, called it a "hit piece on Brian Kelley" and some sort of continuation of anti LSU bias. And boom the whole thing has blown up.
The more interesting thing to me in this article are the quotes attributed to Collis Temple. He was VERY dismissive of Kelly (as of Jan of '22). I haven't heard anything about this in the last 2 years and can only assume LSU ... and everyone else ... ignored it in the hopes it would die ... which it did until Kim blew it up.
I love Kim and what she's done for the program, those girls, and the university. And if this next Baab article is unjustified and defamatory, Kim should respond in kind.
But don't call what's going on now as a continuation of the 2022 "hit piece."
It ain't.
Let the down votes fly.

I’m not reading any of his articles but is there a reason he picked Kelly? And not one of the black head coaches making millions?

Why wasn’t it? The guy lives in DC.

Link to similar articles with this same approach in other college football towns.

Columbia, South Carolina has same poverty rate as Baton Rouge. And they have high paid coaches too. And since he graduated and worked as South Carolina beat writer, why didn’t he write that article about them ?
He was going after the “unfairly high paid coaches in Baton Rouge.”
Guess who else he was subtly hinting at in that regard….
While working the Mulkey hit piece shortly thereafter….
