They have the black mesh tarps at harbor freight to allow air through without damaging the leaves too bad. Some of the nurseries may even have them for sale. Lay your regular tarp on the boards of the trailer and fold over the front so the wind will be redirected or put a row of pine straw bales or something to protect the plants from the wind. Cover with black tarp. The nursery will most likely have someone tie it for you

I think this is what I will be using. Will mostly be Hollys that I’m bringing back.
