And with that sentiment, they've accomplished their mission with the project.
I'm not taking the side of Dan Schneider here.
I'm just trying to clarify your statement.
You believe this documentary was produced to benefit Dan Schneider? Like as a clever cover for his actions?

I believe the editorial decision was made to paint Schneider in an unflattering light, but stopped short of the child molester line. The recent decision of Drake Bell to come forward as Brian Peck's victim provided a stark enough contrast to all of Schneider's misdeeds to lead otherwise sensible adults who should be able to piece together the pattern of predatory behavior on Schneider's end to believe he's the lesser of the evils featured.
It's known as a False Dilemma fallacy, and in the case of this documentary, it goes like this:
-Quiet on Set reveals a lot about the seedy underbelly of the Nickelodeon teen sitcom production environment of the 90s and 2000s.
-Multiple Nick employees were arrested and charged with sex crimes against kids, some even convicted, like Brian Peck, who served time for sexually abusing Drake Bell
-While Executive Producer Dan Schneider has an established reputation for misogyny, fostering a hostile work environment, taking questionable photos and videos with teen & preteen starlets, was known for spending extensive private time with Amanda Bynes, Jeanette McCurdy, Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande and Jamie Lynn Spears and others, no one has come forward with allegations of abuse or impropriety in this documentary.
-Because minor players at Nick have gotten caught, were exposed as predators/groomers/child sexual abusers and were named in this production, Dan Schneider was not explicitly accused of similar sexual abuse in this documentary.
-If Schneider is not named/accused in a documentary where others are named/exposed, while his behavior checks every inappropriate box possible in this situation, he cannot be a sexual predator.
-If Schneider were a predator, he would've been named/accused because others were.
