I regret my career and educational choices almost everyday. I am able to work remotely and am able to make a semi-decent living but only because I have to work like a dog. I have zero work-life balance. I feel like it is slowly driving me insane, but I will endure so I can support my family.

If I could do it all over again, I probably would’ve gone to the military right out of high school at the very least just to be toughened up and learn a little firearms and hand to hand combat training. I would’ve gone to trade school after.

I am not complaining because I have it better than a lot of people, but I still have regrets about my past decisions.

This is the worst thing about my job. I'm always a phone call away from getting pulled into something for hours, if not all night long, even when I'm not on call. There is no such thing as knocking off at 4-5pm or whatever and being 100% done until the next day.
