Married 22 years, rarely do we sleep in the same room. We have very different sleep needs. I snore, she goes to bed early, I go to bed later, I like the TV on and she doesn't, I wake up at random times with work on my mind and I have to have the TV on to try and take my mind off of things. When we vaca, somehow it works in the same bed, because we are more relaxed, not thinking about work....etc. Really thought there was something wrong with us for a while, but it just works for us...nice to know that its more common that I thought. Sleep divirce is a stupid way of putting it...

My wife simply wants to be in bed with me every night.
Early in our marriage on occasion if I couldn't sleep, I would sleep in a guest bedroom just to get a change of scenery. She hated that.
Luckily we have a nice king so there is more than enough room.
The only time we don't sleep in the same bed is if one of us is out of town.
