On the eat less side, portion control has been my biggest struggle. I was poor for most of my life and got used to eating exactly what was given. Unless I could split a serving into another meal, I would struggle to bring myself to throw any food away. I would be portioning out my lunches based on consuming everything before it goes bad vs minimum amount to not be hungry, and snacking at a workplace where coworkers were constantly giving away meals and baked goods was a constant issue. I’m trying to get better about meal prepping, freezing large portions of what I cook so there’s less that MUST be eaten before it expires, and packing smaller portions for my lunches.
It’s a major habit/mindset change that I’m trying to adapt to.
