My theory is maybe they think it will work similarly to how it works in a vehicle. If they have it set to auto and 60 deg, it will kick the blower on the highest speed and won't take that long to cool off on a hot day. But I also might be giving them too much credit. ha

Dual zone AC in a vehicle is the height of stupidity. My wife is CONSTANTLY fricking with the AC in our vehicles...it seems to make her happy. Happiness is a rare commodity in our modern world...why frick with her about it? At the end of the day the damned thing is going to be close to the same temp no matter where you are in that what, 144 cubic feet?

My wife and son are convinced to the point of violence that it is necessary to roll down the windows in a car for about 15 minutes to let the hot air out. It does indeed work for about 1 minute...the temp inside will equal that outside pretty quick...but shortly after it does you are cooling 100% makeup air. That dog won't hunt I do not care how bad you want it to. A sunroof with an insulated head liner really works well for a short while...but running around with 4-80 AC and the AC running does nothing but make the air in the car and out the same....(for the uncouth among us 4-80 AC is 4 windows open and 80 MPH).
