re: Do you let people you work with get to know you

I have a handful of friends from work. All of them are from years of working together. Our recent hiring model hasn’t been conducive of folks that I want to befriend. Im in a line of work that used to be nothing but rough around the edge folks that worked hard and laughed harder. Now it’s all about people being offended and calling the “hotline”. I’m a shell of my former work self that basically goes by the “don’t speak until spoken to” route.
