Yeah, MM spoke about it in the post game interview. Said they had a lot of bad possessions in the first half. Mentioned the previous game left the team a little gassed from an effort standpoint.

He gets a lot of shite in here, but he’s a damn good coach. This team has potential to compete. That’s all we can ask for until we keep getting better and better pieces to this program. We are much better on defense this year and they play faster. Two really good areas of improvement.

I’m cautiously optimistic. I don’t know if I agree if he’s a good coach or not. His body of work here leaves a lot of concern he isn’t; however, maybe he’s turned the corner and team is legit decent. They seem like it last few games. I hope he is the guy and can put a winning team on court consistently. Team historically under MM has been low on effort and soft on defense and rebounding. That’s not the same team that’s been on floor last few games who is fun to watch. I went from believing LSU had 0% chance of making ncaa tournament to now thinking they may have a 5-10% shot, which is really exciting bc the tournament for me is 10x more fun when LSU is in. Great job MM and LSU. I hope it continues and I agree with you that I believe him to be a great coach soon too.
