If the NCAA wants them to make money they should just let the schools pay them. Im not donating shite to some 18 year old who will transfer the following year if he isn’t on the cover of Sports Illustrated, while the school makes 100s of millions. It’s a dumb system getting abused already so just cut the red tape and let the schools dish their money out, they have plenty.

The NCAA put out a Hail Mary proposal to create a separate division that would allow this. However, it still has a fatal flaw- Title 9 forced revenue sharing with women’s sports. The NCAA Presidents and SEC and Big 10 brass will never go for that.

Secession is coming. Josh Pate mentioned that power players are already lining up behind the nuclear option, so it’s going to happen at some point.

But between now and then, you either play the NIL game or you fall behind. Many other fanbases are being a lot less bitchy about it than most of you.

The ncaa got sued into doing this, and everyone should see now why NIL was prohibited, none of this has to do with any N, I or L, it’s about their playing ability, and it’s already compensated.
