Like every other business there will be someone who will take less or negotiate to get the business.
There will be a few who do. And the quality of their service will be commensurate with the low price. Every time. Those will be the agents who aren’t worth a shite, anyway, and are desperate for clients.
2.5% is the going rate. And it will remain so.
Again, the only thing this lawsuit changes is how contracts are written and perhaps how buyers’ agents search the MLS, and (most importantly) the balance of the plaintiff’s lawyer’s checkbook.
Downvote away. Downvotes can’t change it.

Most home sales don't require a ton of service. That of course changes for much pricer properties or those that have issues and sit. Most agents will return calls and set up showings the service isn't that complicated. The ones that are good and earn the % are few and far between.

Ah I see you’ve swallowed that line of bull shite. I know several agents that work for a discount broker and they sell homes at market rate at the same speed as higher commissioned agents. They do a minimum of 5x the amount of deals as most agents in a year so they’ve gained a lot more experience doing it. There’s some shitty agents at their brokerage, just like there’s plenty of shitty agents at the Keller Williams and Latter and Blum’s of the world.
