Things have probably changed since I lived in the area 10 years ago, but Baxterville used to be a small, quiet diamond in the rough for those not wanting to attend the march larger Oak Grove and Purvis schools.
Additionally, Columbia was mediocre crap back then. I could see the town's potential of potentially becoming an exburb of Oak Grove, but if Columbia is still on the same level, I would continue to avoid.
