It's not good. Disappointed. Was very lifeless in most of it.

That sums up how I feel. Disappointed.

Just, just now finished it. It was not a particularly good movie. It was not “bad”. But I will never rewatch it, and in no way would I ever recommend it to a friend.

DiCaprio was the only person keeping this movie alive for 80-90% of the 3.5 hours. And from quick searches, he’s not even getting any real awards hype. It’s all going to the Osage Indian wife (who was completely lifeless) and to Robert De Niro (for which this is a decent but completely forgettable performance by his standards).

It was an “ok” movie. But I can’t even say I truly enjoyed it. I just watched Oppenheimer late the night before. It’s apples to oranges, but I enjoyed that movie so way much more.

The performances were good. The move was just ok. I agree the movie picked up when the investigation started. But still it just doesn’t move the needle for me personally whatsoever. I hate to say it, cause I love Scorsese and De Niro and DiCaprio movies… 5/10
