Sorry you had a bad experience. I had a rubber nose piece on my Costa sunglasses, which were probably at least 10 years old, go bad so I tried to order a new one and fix it myself. I was told that they no longer made that particular style of sunglasses, so they sent me a credit for $300 and told me to order a brand new pair of sunglasses from their website.. That’s pretty damn good Customer Service in my opinion.

Recently or years ago because years ago that was exactly what they would do. In the last 7 -10 years not so much according to most accounts.

I bought a pair of Costas from the original store in Daytona in 1990 or so. They were warrantied for life. Glass lenses. I think I paid about $200 for them then. I had them about 5 years when one of the rubber ear pieces fell off. They fixed them for free. About 3 years later the side lens broke. They couldn't fix it because they no longer sold that frame but they offered a frame of my choice and new lenses. I sent them my old pair and when the package came back the new ones were in and my old ones were in it and repaired...on the same day mine arrived they got a pair just like them that could not be repaired but had a good side glass so they fixed mine for free. I encouraged everyone I know to buy Cosstas and bought a bunch as gifts and had 4 and 5 pair myself...I was as devoted to the brand as I have ever been to any brand of anything. About 7-8 years ago I broke a lens in the original pair I had bought....lifetime warranty. They would not honor it. Wanted $300 deductible to fix them. I balked at that and the basically told me to take it or leave it. I explained that I could buy a new pair on Amazon, package my old ones up and return them and they would refund the money. They said they would never do any such thing. I proved them wrong and have proved them wrong 2 other times since with the same pair. They made the deal. I did not force them to offer a lifetime warranty on those glasses. Had they been reasonable and offered to repair or replace them for 50% of retail I would have gladly gone along but they wanted more as a deductible than similar models sold for new. I am done with them although I will continue to force them to honor the lifetime warranty on my original pair for as long as I want to go through the trouble of doing it....
