re: How hard is getting into sales?

my dad was a career pharmaceutical rep, and one of the most tragic things i've ever witnessed was the absolute highest level of commitment and passion he put into learning the job, learning the doctors, and learning the products only to be eventually politely but firmly ushered into early retirement and replaced by an army of barely literate but drop dead gorgeous communications majors from A&M and Texas. i have a lot of reasons that i hate "big pharma" but that is the top one.


I have a half dozen male friends that are in their 50's & 60's that are Pharmaceutical Reps that are good at their job and haven't been replaced with attractive females. Your hate might be misguided.
