I've noticed the slate tile covering my shower curb/threshold is disintegrating on the exterior of the shower. None of the slate seems to be deteriorating on the inside of the shower, only on the outside below where the glass door opens and shuts. Any tips?

None, other than slate is not a good choice for a shower. No natural stone is, really. The slate is prone to delaminating, with fissures and voids that fill up with soap and crud. I would expect the rest of the shower to show some signs in the future.
I know that’s not helpful to you now, but there’s not much you can do about it at this point.

sorry to say but that entire shower needs to be torn out and re-done. Guarantee there is quite a bit of mold to be found.

Terrible selection for a wet area.
