"The "gifts" he received are riding on said friend's yacht and flying on said friend's plane"

You are still required by ethics laws to report the gifts, which he did not.

thats new requirements. they were not required before.

its a nothing burger that the democrats can use to call for his impeachment and push a narrative to make their base more angry.

probably has nothing to do with wanting to take our guns away...

Which is, at most, an "oh my bad, yeah I road on his yacht and flew in his plane" moment.

Mountain out of a mole-hill, so to speak.

It depends on the classification of "gift".

If a friend gives you a ride in his car, is it a gift?

When does it become a gift? If your close personal friend says hey I am going to ___________, you guys should come along, is that a gift?

its not a gift for a friend to invite you onto his yacht/plane for anything.

The only impeachable offense would be acceptance of a bribe.

There’s a judicial conduct act.

If the guy wasn’t appearing before him there’s no way it was a bribe. If he had - Thomas could (and probably would) recuse himself.

Democrats are Bolsheviks.

Now everyone cares about ethics

Until members of Congress are held responsible for insider trading, why should I give a shite if a SCOTUS has a rich friend?

Those aren't fricking gifts. That's two friends hanging out. This is fricking stupid and petty.

Hanging out with an old friend isn't a "gift" that needs to be reported.
