Has anyone tried planting a wildflower patch in their yard?

Along the side of my house, the grass doesn't fill in great. Combo of my grass being bermuda and that area receiving sun for half the day and the soil pretty much being fill dirt. It is a long stretch going to the fence that is just a big bare brick wall you see when driving up.

I'm thinking of either trying to do a mini wildflower patch there to add some color or planting some native azaleas that may enjoy the afternoon shade.

do it
these are all perennials that I dug up out of the woods or grew from seed. Go get a couple bags of wildflower seed and mix them all up and sow liberally. It’s great to see how the beds change every year as they re seed

There’s also native wildflower banks you can order seed from. I’m planting them everywhere I can from now on

I bought a wildflower bag this year and poured them along a back fence line and side fence. Have over 100 flowers that are starting to bloom
