One of my best friends knows the Johnson family. I was told before Max committed to LSU, that he was leaning toward Wisconsin instead. For some reason, he really liked it there. So maybe that's where he plans to look again? Just a somewhat educated guess on my part. Was also told back then that the connection for Max to LSU was with Tommy Moffitt. He and Brad are friends. Not sure if that had anything to do with the Portal move. You would think not

The announcers on of our games said this too, and the reason they gave was that he liked being under center.

So what do we do with him as the starter? Shotgun 99.99% of the time.

Genius.
