Why do y'all act like the wildcat is some new thing Gus has started doing in the last two years? He's always loved it even with Marshall as QB.

The only QB he didn't do it with was Cam and that's because he was money on short yardage situations

We have the second worst redzone rate in all of college football right now and y'all think a few drops a game are the sole reason. If Sean white could play QB in the redzone, Gus wouldn't handcuff him in the redzone. Better yet, he wouldn't put in the outdated wildcat formation.

Except we had the same issue going back to 2014. Go rematch the Iron Bowl that year and see how the O bogged down in the redone. Let's not forget the US game where we scored 7 points.

He isn't Johnny heisman, but how do you blame the qb by saying the coaches won't give him a chance.

I'm not blaming the quarterback. What I'm saying is Gus has SW handcuffed for whatever reason. So, if SW is that great of a QB why is Gus taking SW out in goal line situations?

I don't remember this and you may be right? This is dumb. What did the wildcat offer that Marshall couldn't give?

SW is not great. He has potential to be really good with the right system.

I'm baffled by the play calling in the red zone. Our passing plays are basic and only work if the defense is confused by the play action or SW can buy enough time for the receivers to run around a bit. Gus needs some new plays for red zone passing. He relies on the screen and spread the field between the 20s, but those plays don't work when the field shrinks.

I'm just as baffled as you are. Maybe the theory that Gus is a Savant that can adjust his playbook to any QB will die off. It's personally unsettling that I believed it for so long.

We need to find a TE and use him in the red zone.

An H-Back wouldn't hurt, as lead blocker, when we are on the 1 yard line also.

Status quo hasn't changed either. He didn't stick it into the endzone last year and hasn't done any better this year. What did you expect? Are you going to claim Kodi Burns should be fired too if Stevens won't quit making SW look bad?

needs to be taught that he can run with the ball after catching it........you don't have to go down immediately.

Sean has made multiple plays in the redzone this year, a number of them don't show up bc the wideout didn't finish the play, at the same time though he has missed a few too. He does seem to play a little worse in the redzone, but Rome wasn't built in a day and the shite playcalling isn't helping Sean build it either. Gus has to let Sean make some risky throws or he's never gonna get better. I think it's pretty telling that the one game where Sean had full control of the O, granted it was Arky St, he killed it all over the field, even the redzone.

Anyone re-watching the game, watch the KJ Wildcat play that was stuffed... LSU was 100% ready for the keeper and the sweep. Wasn't gonna matter on that play unless KJ threw the ball, but then that would mean Gus would have to actually call a play that goes AGAINST his tendencies which, for some reason, he considers a bad thing.

Yeah there was 1 for sure TD pass dropped.

He over threw Stevens once too when he was wide open.

Could have been another as well that was dropped.

We need to tighten up. Definitely should have scored at least 3 TDs.

They have all been equally bad. Sean has made plenty of mistakes in the Red Zone that were on him, WR's have dropped easy ones and our play calling is terrible as well.

Plenty of blame for all involved.
