It's a start...
Jay Jacobs’ actions and outlook as the athletic director within the Auburn University Athletics Department have proven to be detrimental to the culture among several athletic programs at the university. As supporters of Auburn Athletics, we strongly feel Jacobs has shown a limited scope and level of carelessness in his management across major aspects (finances, faculty, student athletes, etc.) of the department. These flaws have rid several athletic teams from any level of sustained success or direction. Going forward, we believe it is in the best interest of the university, the athletics department, and the student athletes to look in a different direction for leadership within the athletics department away from Jay Jacobs. In the near future, we hope to see a new athletic director unopposed to pursuing a new environment for the department who will fulfill his or her responsibilities to an outstanding degree.
