Seems like he could have helped take some of the load off barber. Is he still hurt?

On what special teams? Nobody cares about Jovon on special teams. Jovon didn't get a single carry or reception last night so obviously that is what the OP is wondering about.

FIFY

You star gazers never cess to amaze. The SEC is not Georgia JUCO. He has not done what is required to play.

He had a high ankle sprain and is just now healthy enough to play effectively. We spread the ball around a lot early with Roc and KJ so Barber was pretty fresh in the 2nd half and didn't need to come out.

For better or worse, Gus doesn't know what this means.

I know I might get crushed for saying this, but Barber's vision is pretty bad. He misses quite a few holes. He runs very hard, but he doesn't look for a crease or holes.

I think Jovon's vision is a lot better than Barber's.

Knowing he played on ST helps to remind all the star gazers he isn't quitting, etc...why is it so hard to accept he may not be doing anything that would warrant playing on O?

I agree. Barber is the man but still needs to work on reading his blocking a little better

Not sure I can say this as he has had 4 carries in SEC play....

Also I like how we finally spread ball around to most of our weapons: Barber, Roc, Kerryon, Marcus Davis, Louis & even Jason Smith but still we find a way to be disappointed with touches

He was on offense. Sorry you are so bitter to recognize it.

Surely you are not calling me a star gazer because I was getting to the OP's point. Jovon very well could still be in the doghouse for all I know. Whitehead played only special teams one game if you don't remember that.

I agree. Too often he just runs straight ahead instead of looking for a hole. He will get better

I have not seen enough of him to make this assessment

Forget Jovon. We need to get Kerryon the ball more. He's dynamic.

I don't know about forgetting him but if he, through work ethic or attitude, has not done what is required to earn playing time then I am fine with his absence in the backfield. I don't know if he has just now become healthy enough for this though? Entirely possible that there is no attitude/work ethic issue. Barber, Roc, and KJ are out there, fired up, and clearly want to work for this team.
