Yeah, same for the Navy system. If the system was firing continuous fire, the drum only gave it about 20 seconds worth (4500 rounds/minute, drum holds around 1500 rounds).
Hard for it to hold a shite load of ammo when the round is as big as it is.
Has the field-experience by the Army spurred any kind of future redesign so that the Army system may carry more ammo?

Not that I am aware of. They are working on replacements for the entire system, though, to make it more portable.
