The SEC had a record breaking pay out as a result of the SEC Network and College Football Playoff. To the tune of over 500 million. Each school will receive about 37 million and you have to think the wheels in Jay Jacobs head are spinning

Last I heard, the AD was running at a deficit so I'm assuming we would pay our creditors plus all of the fired/ex-coaches on the pay roll and Jacobs will make it rain with the rest

What do you think he's going to do with the money after buying a really big video board last year

I think the scoreboard looks a little small...

Maybe go bigger?

Are there any coaches who we can give some expensive and undeserving buyouts to?

We can put another one on the opposite end of the stadium.

Have dueling score boards.

Lots of black male hookers to satisfy his cravings.

I imagine this is inevitable. Really doesn't make sense to have one large score board and a regular one on the other end

The idea of Jay Jacobs wielding $37,000,000 like a kid that's found his dad's gun is nauseating. I can only imagine what money pit he will dig for himself this time.

I realize the purpose of the thread but I'll give a serious answer. He'll most likely put it toward the beginning of construction of the new north endzone

Auburn should use what funds are left after operating expenses are paid to help fund the north endzone renovation so that they don't have to frick up ticket prices even more. I'm sure they're not going to put it all in the expansion, hopefully they split the money up amongst our athletic programs. Our softball team & gymnastics squads deserve some too.

A profit last year would be pretty incredible for Auburn athletics, given the reported $17 million deficit the prior year.

Pay more $100,000 fines when we keep winning big games in basketball. Bring on the up votes homies!

I'm seriously wondering if Jay Jacobs included the pending SEC payout in coming up with the 6 million? No way did I see Auburn turning in a profit this year

Jay Jacobs says Auburn has hired a staff psychologist. More:

I laughed at this at first but then I remembered all the issues with Duke and the several players who have passed away and I think it's a great idea

I laughed because I initially thought of someone coming in to counsel Jeremy through his interceptions and help Gus breakthrough the mental rode block of Pre-season Top 10 rankings

Remember when Nick Saban did this after 2007 and everyone laughed? The next year they went 12-0. Mental toughness in this game is just as important as physical toughness. I think it's a good idea.
