What actually does happen if we go 3-9?

Or 4-8?

I personally think some position coaches get axed, but that's it. Maybe some clamoring around for a JUCO QB.

What do y'all think will happen?

If we go 3-9 after our finish last year, and two straight season with high expectations then Gus is as good as gone.

I doubt that. People will be furious and changes will be expected, but he won't get axed that fast.

we won't fire anybody think about this the seniors this year are still not Gus players and none are Muschamps either have to give them another year to show improvement esp Muschamp and you can't blame Gus for the fraudulent performance of JJ and you can't expect Sean White to come in as a RS freshman and play championship caliber ball

A position coach or two, and a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth.

It would depend on the nature of the 3-9 record. Does Gus lose the team and we see them just give up (like Jonathan Jones did on the LF run)?

That's what got Chizik fired...

well Gus mentioned on radio tonight that the Seniors need to step up which indicates to me he has lost some of them but like Frost, Mckinzy and Jones this is the 3rd different D coordinator they have had and with JJ throwing passes 20 yards backwards they might just checkout

The Bama fans turn off their Xbox and pray Santa upgrades them to an Xbox One for Christmas.

But seriously, that ain't happening. 5-7 is rock bottom at this point. We still have San Jose State and Idaho. As bad as its been in still not convinced that Arkansas even has a shot to beat us.

We should beat Kentucky. Their RB scares me. They have a good QB, but he's a pocket passer and so far we've been killed by QBs who can run.

I still like our chances this weekend against MSU, and I'll always like our chances against Bama in JHS.

I think 6-6 to 8-4, but the only game I'm ready to write off already is Ole Miss.

I absolutely can blame Gus for the way JJ has played. Or whoever is developing our qbs.

That doesn't mean I think Gus should be fired if we only win 4 games (I think it could be considered if we only win three because that means we will have to lose to either Idaho or San Jose state, which is pretty unacceptable with our talent) but I'm of the opinion anything that happens to a team falls squarely on the shoulders of the coaches.

I've just never been one to make excuses for coaches unless it's their first year and they took over a dumpster fire with no talent. But Gus is in his third year with a qb he recruited and has been grooming for three years, but looks like he wouldn't beat out jax states qb if he transferred there.

Me thinks you need to review the abortion known as the 2012 recruiting class. We literally have one senior from that class that plays on offense, Ricardo Louis. avery and Kozan are from that class but are juniors. That is not an issue.

We will win a minimum of 7 games. My guess is 8-4.

Amazing how 5-7 got the axe for tubs yet we are talking about 4-8 or 3-9 not being the end of Gus

More to it, the record was a result. Tubs still comes to Auburn, wears Auburn gear and sent his son here. He needed a break to take care of family matters, it happens. Yes he was being pushed, but would not have been outright fired, there was some mutual agreement.

Gus has a 6 year contract that guarantees around 2.25 million a year, he has 4 years left.

It would mean we lost to SJSU or Idaho.

No he isn't. Do you think any coach in the country would want to be coach at Auburn knowing they go through a coach every 3 years?
