I watched the Arky game on DVR morning (as I do most games). We are crazy athletic...more athletic than I have seen us in years...but it's the same story every game. Lots of hustle, athleticism, and terribly terribly sloppy play. Seems like we do it no matter who is on the court, whether they are upperclassmen or freshmen. Is that a Bruce thing or a freshman thing or a leadership thing or what?

Some of that sloppiness is leaving after this season in Dunans. The other bit needs to be cleaned up in the off season

While it is very frustrating to watch at times it's still a better product than the Lebo/Barbee days. I think last night the commentators mentioned that this was our first winning season since 08-09?? We are young (one of the youngest in the league). All that being said, it feels like we are moving in the right direction...despite the Jekyll and Hyde impersonation we do regularly.

I think it is a mix of freshmen and leadership thing. Arkansas played a more fundamental style and our freshmen couldn't respond to it well. For leadership, we don't have that player yet that can take over a game. We had it in Kareem Canty but he was a headcase. If he controlled his attitude then I am sure we have a last four in team, but barely. Say what you want about the season, but it is a massive improvement in nearly a decade.

We need to unpin the basketball thread. We will obviously keep it active until the basketball season dies away, but its not worth a pin anymore.

"Winning team" what a deceptive way to characterize our basketball team.
Besides, I didn't say we shouldn't follow the team. WTH. If we are not following basketball just because it's not pinned, then I guess we aren't following our number two ranked softball team.

That's actually exactly how you characterize a team with a winning record. No matter how you look it at, it's still our best team in 9 years

The improvement is neither forgotten nor ignored. Still doesnt have anything to do with unpinning the thread though.

I was thinking the same thing tonight. When was the last time we beat them in any significant sport? Frigging KSU even beat them in baseball tonight (of course they whipped our arse too last year!)

The sloppiness caught up with us last night. What a choke job that was. Bruce got some 'splainin' to do.
