AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn defensive backs Kamryn Melton, Derrick Moncrief and Joe Turner are leaving the program, Gus Malzahn announced Friday.
"Kamryn, Derrick and Joe have decided to transfer and purse playing opportunities elsewhere. We thank them for their time at Auburn and wish them well in the future," Malzahn said.
Melton thanked Malzahn for the "life-long memories" he made at the school as he tweeted Thursday he was transferring.
Neither Melton nor Turner played last season. Moncrief appeared in all 13 games and had 27 tackles. Melton played in three games in 2013 before suffering a knee injury. Turner, a junior college player, didn't play in his one year at Auburn.
