I made my son pay for his own ticket so we sat in the upper deck. The view was excellent. Legroom was much more comfortable than lower bowl. I really enjoyed watching the plays develop from up top. The only negative is on FG it is hard to tell if it goes through.
I would sit there again.

If you can get between the 30 yard lines, the upper deck is great. Just stinks walking up. I too enjoy watching the plays develop, you definitely don't get that on ESPN. Heck, at least a few times a game you won't even see the pre-snap alignment or motion.

I wish there was an "all 22" broadcast. It really lets you see the plays develop.

Upper deck is severely underrated. I have been sitting there for over 25 years and i absolutely love the view. You can see the plays develop, see the formations, open receivers etc. FGs are hard to see, but it adds to the suspense of the game.

We sat in the upper deck 2005-2012 and moved to the lower bowl for 2013. The seats are not bad, and there's no place better to watch plays develop. My complaints were: walking up there (feels like a mile after you're in the stadium), being much more out in the weather (especially the sun and wind), and feeling somewhat disconnected from the game (it's A LOT louder down below).

I agree on the weather. After I did not renew season tickets, I only go when forecast is pleasant. I guess I am a "fair weather fan."

I've been to 80 games and never been up there. Sat in the upper deck at some away games, but never JH.

how is the atmosphere? the reason I love going to games is being immersed in the noise and intensity. seems like that would be diminished

It is a bit detached, but the view is great. I am getting older so having the leg room and not as much noise are ok with me.

rivalry games when we are a good team are intense anywhere you sit. But for most games it doesnt get that loud unless its third down or its a tight game. Typically there are one or two people who start the screaming and everyone else joins in.

My wife hates the upper deck. She gets vertigo and screams at the kids if they move close to the edge. She's a pussy though...... Like you.

I liked being able to see everything up there, but I can see a lot on my TV. I go to the games to hear the crowd, the band. I like the noise. The noise and atmosphere just isn't the same in the upper deck.

I have sit up there for many years. I have also sit in the lower bowl. I prefer the upper deck, lower section. I can just keep up with the ball and what is going on better

I hate the climb down. Climb up is OK
