Auburn hoops now at scholarship limit for 2016-17. There are no remaining players on the roster from the Tony Barbee era after just 2 years.

Doubt we pick up another grad transfer. I would think the UNC Asheville frosh transfer owuld be a safer bet

A name to watch is Romello White from Georgia Tech. He is asking Pastner for his release and Chad Dollard is who recruited him there originally.

TSD we already knew about, I thought?

And Trayvon Reed? What's that? Doesn't seem I've seen him around much.

While it could be other stuff Reed isn't a great fit in a Bruce system and still has a lot of development left.

Even though he has a ton of potential, the net gain of getting someone who can help us win earlier which would lead to improved recruiting outweighs that.

We're at the limit, do we expect more attrition or do transfers that have to sit out not count against the limit the year they sit?

I have the same question, but are we at the limit? I count 12, did I miss one?:
6 Returning: Spencer, Brown, Dunans, Lang, Williams, Purifoy
3 Incoming: Heron, Harper, McLemore
1 Grad Transfer: Johnson
2 Transfer/sit outs: Smith, Murray

Smith is a grad transfer

We have some options that we are supposedly looking at for Reeds scholarship to make 13

Yep, you're forgetting Devin Waddell who was given a scholarship prior to last season. He's also technically the only Barbee hold over making whatever Joey quoted above wrong

BS. It was other stuff. He would've played a lot and we definitely could've used his presence.

I think scholarships are given on a year to year basis and it isn't guaranteed he will be one. I think he's in a fortunate situation of being able to do either, walk on or be on scholly. Could be wrong..

That is correct.

And what bitching are you going to come up with today?

Given that you think midrange jumpers are a key component to good teams, nobody is going to trust your 'expert' analysis

Even better is that in the last month you were saying the exact opposite and that you'd rather replace Reed with a recruit.

Unless something new pops up we are done for 2016. I hate going into a season already basically down 2 scholarships with Murray sitting out and Wadell being a non factor but it is what it is.
