We shouldn't necessarily hire him but I'd choose him over Gardner if given the option.

I'm not sure I would. It's known Rocker doesn't enjoy recruiting, and the DLs are playing well under Garner.

I hope so too. The kid is dynamic, but always seemed either gassed when doing KR or was gassed because he had just done a KR.

I'm about to ruin your credibility by agreeing with you on that. not a real Rocker fan boy but I also feel like given the talent we had our d-line was underwhelming down the stretch. Gardner seems like a master unmotivator to me.

After keeping my calm those years that my eyes bled from reading " Javon" not "Jovon", I feel I let my myself down.

And now it seems that UGA and UGA fans are shitting on Rocker as he's walking out the door.

https://www.dawgnation.com/football/team-news/aubrey-solomons-mother-is-ticked-off-at-the-tracy-rocker-rumors#free

quote:

Georgia lost the race for her son and she said Rocker had nothing to do it. There was no argument with Rocker. No disagreements.

She further described the Rocker theories as “baseless” and “upsetting"...

quote:

Why did he not choose Georgia? She noted that people can believe what they want. It might seem easier to believe a dramatic story about an argument, but that wasn’t her answer.

She said a big reason why Georgia didn’t sign her son centered on coaching decisions and not anything specific in their recruiting relationship.

Caldwell said they were affected by the scholarship that was no longer there for 4-star Texas RB and longtime UGA commit Toneil Carter.

Adding to the confusion: SEC All-Freshman kicker Rodrigo Blankenship was not extended a scholarship offer despite what he did to win games for the Bulldogs last season.

She said that was not her family’s fight but that it was a factor into how they perceived UGA.

“We were concerned with the scholarship issues of those not either receiving (them) or getting it pulled and again (this was) not our fight but it played a factor,” she said.

my understanding was that the kid wanted to enroll early and they no longer had that spot available with Chubb and Michel coming back. I thought he still had a spot, just had to come in the fall.

again, not sure why this would have any factor with them. A lot of schools don't put their kickers on scholarship.

Because opposing coaches were whispering in her ear that UGA coaches don't give AF about your kid, look how they've already screwed over Kid X or Kid Y
