Tony Jones ended up in Canada after all

There was speculation after he left Auburn that he'd end up coaching for the Canada basketball team. Well, he didn't do that, but he did end up in Canada. It looks like his brother talked him into leaving Auburn to coach for him while he was suspended.

He said his goal is to be a head coach at any level.. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten that chance at the high school level.

Anyways best of luck to him. Glad he came and helped Bruce kickstart the program

It is a major step down and he will only be HC until his brothers suspension is over. It is my understanding that he was pushed out. Pressure was put on Pearl to make Coach Person his top assistant. Not good but not surprising either.

Not to bring this thread back up, but i saw him at 17-16 last thursday and at Little C's the night after

I wouldn't be surprised if he half-way sticks around until after his brother comes back (only going up to Canada as needed). Once his brother comes back, he'll figure out what his next move is.
