Gus' tweet

quote:

Looking forward to watching @KingJames and the @cavs repeat! #NBAFinals2017

He clearly lacks any type of judgment...

This will be the first time I'll root for LeBron and company. I hate what Durant and the warriors have done this year.

I'm in the exact same boat. Never really cared for LeBron, but I would love nothing more than to see the Warriors cheat code team get smacked this year.

Durant did exactly what Lebron did

LeBron didn't join a team that had just set a record number of wins in a season the year before, and had blown a 3-1 lead for a chance to win back to back titles. So no, not quite.

No he just stacked his team with all stars with no team to compete with on the other side....

I don't like what Durant did but Lebron started it...

No, he just constructed consecutive teams that made a big 3 of perennial all stars

Bitch all you want but the idea of bringing in multiple max contract type guys started in Boston but made famous by Lebron

Whether Trump/Obama/Whoever, the "vacation" argument is pretty absurd considering POTUS is on the clock 24/7 whether in Mar Lago or Africa. People are crazy if they think a president's vacation means he stops working

The only issue I have with someone in a ridiculously stressed out job trying to get a few minutes of relaxation is the cost to taxpayers. By all accounts, Trump is setting a new spending standard that I'm sure the next Democrat/Republican will outspend

hell the Warriors just did what Lebron has tried to do for the past 7 years, but they did it better. They've created a super team that's just better than his super team.

I just wish the NBA was like it was in the 80s and 90s. 1-2 all stars on each team, and the best superstars would be the likely guys in the playoffs/finals.

Yeah but the big difference is that he's not only getting some time off, he's doing it on the taxpayer's dime and it's going back into his own pocket.

I agree that it's a stressful job. I don't have an issue with any president taking some time to golf or relax as long as they're doing their job. I do have a big issue with the president making money off of going on vacation, especially when said president criticized the previous president for doing something he's now doing even more.

I'm not going to defend LeBron and the "decision". I hated it. Durant and the warriors took it a step further, so I'm going for the Cavs hoping it might keep this trend from happening all the time.

You want to root against building superstar teams through free agency by rooting for Cleveland against GS? This is a joke right?

Golden State is the best non Spurs example of a team being built "the right way" through the draft and scouting past their prime veterans like Iguodala/Livingston. Ya they grabbed KD, but their core for 3 years is through quality mid RD1+ draft pick (Curry/Klay/Green)

Compare that to Cleveland who was trying to assemble the juggernaut via acquisitions and not through the draft

-Lebron -> Free Agency Addition
-Kevin Love-> Traded #1 pick for All NBA player
-JR Smith -> Acquired via trade from NY
-Iman Shumpert -> Acquired via trade from NY
-Kyle Korver -> Acquired via trade from ATL

Damn good argument, except that you should have added a [mic drop] to the end of it.
