He wouldn't be the scapegoat. He's trying to get the hc position. Would hate to lose him

Possibly more like rats, sinking ship scenario. I expect Muschamp will be gone with all the jobs open this year.

Will everyone please stop with the Muschamp gone after this year talk? There is no way in hell that happens. I've said it once and I'll say it again: the fact McElwain is taking the Gators to Atlanta with players Will recruited shows just how poor a job Muschamp did at UF. Some of y'all are just dumb.

As far as Horton goes, I would really hate to lose him. I'm wondering what N Texas thinks though. Would be one thing if he was a coordinator, but to go from position coach to head coach - that's quite a jump, no?

Don't see Muschamp leaving. He will be given more control over coaches.

He has no buyout, can walk away whenever he wants. With all the coaching jobs open and Gus arse being on the hot seat next year. He might just decide to move on.

Seriously, who would hire him right now? Have you not seen what is going on at UF the year after he left?

Maybe based on eye test, but record says otherwise. Either way they're going to Atlanta.

I wouldn't say there's no way in hell. He definitely wants to be a Head Coach. Will someone offer? Idk but I don't think so.

Muschamp has more job security than Gus. Even if Gus is on hit seat/gets fired, there is a legit chance Muschamp gets the HC job

I'd rather see Lashlee's name mentioned than Horton

Get out of here with this shite. 2012 was a sinking ship. I am guessing just like most coaches Horton wants to be a HC someday so when jobs open up at places he might could get he is going to apply. Would suck to lose him as he has done outstanding job with RBs so far

The only reason I think Muschamp could be gone is just the volume of positions that are going to be open however I think he is at Auburn 2 years. His defense has gotten better as the year goes on so next season should see a solid AU defense with hopefully a recovered offense. 6-6 DCs usually don't get hired for HC positions

Time to play the if game.

If Horton leaves for HC job & Les is fired from LSU. Wonder if Auburn could get Frank Wilson from LSU? Guy is a stud recruiter & good RB coach
