Any other old timers out there remember Harry's Bar out on Opelika Rd? It became the place to be around '86 -'87. It was a true dive bar with an old jukebox and pool tables. First place I ever heard "He stopped loving her today".

Was that the one close to being right across the street from Country's BBQ?

Harry's was the first AU bar of many that I ever visited. And the first of many to get tossed from. I was 16 years old visiting for the Ole Miss game my senior year of high school.

What was the name of the bar in Auburn that stored their beer in plastic coolers?

I only went to Harry's after being over-served elsewhere, so my recollection of the establishment is fuzzy. I remember the door to the Men's room was busted off the hinges and when you took a piss, it was essentially like pissing in front of everyone there.

I also remember nearly getting in a fight when a pool cue connected with the head of one of my friends, "accidentally."

It was truly a dive bar.

Played pool there several times. But I always kept my back to a wall.

Harry's was the true dive bar in town. You knew it was late when the guys came in for a pre shift beer. It had a toilet broken off at the flange for a while so just pissing in a hole. It was where the elite meet, and always interesting.
