Spent the last two Saturdays at breakfastin seacrest. For the money it is good. Suppose you already know about The Pearl.

To be honest, I know very little about that area. WE will be in Rosemary beach in a few weeks. Will be looking for some recommendations for eats

It is awesome around there. Spent several weeks at Seaside ten years ago. Lots of great food then. Assume it can't be bad now.

I usually go to Santa Rosa Beach. Most places along that 30A Route are fantastic. The Naked Pig is a good one around there. Loves the beaches around there, never near as packed compared to PCB or Destin. I just wish they had more bars with draft beers and pool tables to do something at night.

So whats everyone doing for the weekend/4th. Not shite here. Wife is working Saturday and on Monday. Rain moving in here in North Georgia so I will probably just chill around here.

Got some new clubs so I am heading to the range on Friday for a while then gonna try and play Saturday if the weather will let me.....

The bait sales have finally slowed a little so I may get caught up on some packaging and tie some jigs for the fall..... But probably not

Figured it was about time I snuck back in over here.

Preds Prospect game tonight (Friday) since I'm an addict and apparently playing into early June wasn't enough. Then family get-together for weekend before spending the next week at the lake.

Hanging around, prob grill out for 4th but on to Santa Rosa Beach next Thursday. Trying to keep the body in shape before then.

The weather has been really shitty here also.

That lake can rise and fall like no other. With the presence or non presence of grass, it can really go up and down. I know it has been tough over there the past couple of years compared to what it was but it will come back. You can have so many fish per acre when you have all those flats with grass

Very different than Lanier where the fish roam and sustain in deep cover. Hope it comes back strong over there

How in the hell can you do 23 days in the Caribbean? I just did 7, got home last night and I am worn out. Seriously.

7 days at Beloved Playa Mujeres, Mexico. It was outstanding, but my recovery is progressing slowly. 20+ days and I might be dead.

Because Lanier avoids doing the touristy things and just lays around enjoying the views and refreshments.

That's all I did!!! No touristy shite, except for the occasional 15 minutes on a kayak or paddleboard. We relaxed and I'm still smoked. Could be liver failure?

Its all training my brother. You need training. I dont really hit my stride till about day 8 or so. Then I am tuned in, mind is focused and I am ready to let go.

IF you are not adjusted to being in the sun all day, it will absolutely drain you. Even though I do not stay in it as much as I have in the past, I am better than most. My wife has a harder time than me. After most of the day in the heat, she is pretty spent. It seems to catch up to her after dinner.

I usually save one day after we get home from a vacation like that to just sit around and recharge. One other thing that will help you on long relaxing vacations. Im talking mostly all inclusive type trips is to work out every single day. I usually get up every morning early ( cant ever sleep) and either hit the gym or run on the beach. My wife is a sleeper and likes to crash in and I am wide awake at 5 am anyway.

Working out in the gym during vacation helps me work off some of the food and liquid calories along with getting my body moving. Just sitting around all day is not normal for me so working out helps balance things out. Some days, I will run early on the beach then workout later in the day with my wife at the gym.... Really helps. Plus, working out on vacation is about the easiest thing ever. No other time in your life will you be able to just go to the gym with absolutely nothing else to do or on your mind.

Going to Florida this Saturday for 7 days. Just a little warm up for my big vacation coming up in 3 weeks or so....

How was Playa? Have not been there yet
