All they needed was one more year of film.

LINK

Seriously the other 3 years he was at Auburn wasn't enough? I love it when people claim that they just just needed another year of film to figure out the offense. It's like the excuse that just won't
die. Lol.

(Posting this from my phone not sure if the link will work. It's an article from al.com quoting Mizzou's DC)

I've always found this line of thinking to be myopic at best. It completely fails to account for the fact that the offense makes adjustments too.

It really is a completely different offense each year based on the weapons at his disposal. Heck, it was different week to week until we hit on that read-option last year.

The thread title made me think it was a suspension/dismissal of some sort.

He's right. If Mizzou makes it back to the SECC this year, they are gonna hold the Gus Bus to 577 yards instead of 677 yards.

The "option" style of the offense combined with the hurry up makes it extremely different to make reads for the defense and exploits even minor error as they said. I don't see how watching more "film" can help. The only thing that can "help" is being picture perfect on your assignments and inplay reads. That is hard to do in a week's worth of preparation

Yea I thought it was funny that the DC that gave up the most rushing yards against us all season was the one to make that comment
