Gus' biggest problem is.....he is so damn stubborn and narrow minded.

His O used to be so imaginative. Now he runs the same 8 plays over and over again.......whether they are working or not.

Your premise is shitty, considering our offense did just about whatever it wanted to the aggies defense.

Gus sucks because the offense is garbage.... has nothing to do with nick Marshall led 2014 team.

Except for the UGa game the week after, none of our losses in 2014 were the fault of the offense.

Our offensive struggles began for real in game 2 of the 2015 season, when FCS Jax State held us to 350 yards and 13 points for the first 59 minutes.

He stopped winning games. This thread has nothing to do with the offense and everything to do with his RECORD immediately following the 2014 Texas A&M game.

If you don't believe me, post the before and after records.

I am tired of looking for reasons. Either win, Gus or let someone else try.

It is impressive. I would argue he is losing with more talent.

So maybe I should start melting when we get highly rated recruits and celebrating the Josh Marsh's of the world?

Gus has forced me to reconsider everything I thought I knew about the sport of football

I almost got in a car wreck while driving (sober) to pick up beer before that A&M game. Luckily, we both veered and both cars were unscathed.

I'm convinced I actually died in that car accident and everything that has happened since is evidence that I'm actually in purgatory. Or hell, I'm honestly not sure yet.

Perhaps. I think you could say the same about the 2014 Miss St game.

In fact, that was the first time we had a "dominate up to the ten yard line and not score a touchdown" game. Had two or three chances to score a touchdown in the first half and came away with what? 3 points?

I'd like to see a list of those games too.

I think the A&M game was definitely a turning point. IIRC we were #3 at the time and coming off a big road win at Ole Miss. got beat by A&M at home in a game we should have won and the proceeded to get embarrassed by UGA and lost a shoot out to Bama.

MSU 2014 was definitely the first time the red zone struggles came alive

But it was @MSU and they were #1 in the nation so nobody gave Gus any flack.

Losing at home to a bad TAMU team that had just gotten 59-0'd by Alabama and had to scrape by ULM, with the playoffs on the line, then following that up with a blowout loss to UGA with the SECW still winnable, was when I first had doubts about his coaching ability.

Losing the last four of 2014, giving a childlike response when asked why the defense sucked so hard ("good thing we are hiring the best DC in football then") and going 6-6 in 2015 with the demeanor of a child lost me.

I still admitted maybe the guy was just growing as a HC, but I'm done. Auburn isn't the place for someone to grow as a HC anyway. We should be hiring proven guys, not projects, IMO.

I've got nothing against up and coming coordinators or "projects" as you might call them.

But 5 years is way to long to live with what we're currently living with.

I won't mention the unspeakable but 2013 tipped 4th down win over UGA and Kick Six won't be remember for amazing coaching let's just say.

I think he's still imaginative in his offense, but he overthinks it.

Example: The whirly bird was imaginative, but the wrong type.

Again, this just isn't reality.... look at who Oklahoma, UGA, Stanford, USCw, etc. turned the keys over to?

The days of programs like auburn snatching up a Tommy Turbeville from a lesser P5 program like Ole Miss are over... everybody's got money now. The gap between the "haves" and "have nots" is all but gone.
