Said the main thing that worries him is that he hasn't even seen our receivers beat man to man coverage against cupcakes.

Gus, just kick Kodi Burns to the curb so you can keep the blame game going. Sheesh, every coach besides Garner and Steele seem like buffoons.

Talk me off the ledge guys, PLEASE!

Pretty much everyone on defense is championship worthy.

I didn't realize Kodi Burns was coaching receivers. I really can't believe that a former quarterback who played a season at wide receiver is coaching the position at an SEC school just a few years out of college.

He is a fine Auburn man, so its all good. Comes before winning. Think its in the creed or something.

This was Gus's put up or shut up season

For some reason, I doubt he shuts up after 7-5/6-6.

Our O struggles start with the OL. I'm not sure they could block me.

They were bad against GSU. They absolutely sucked against Clemson.

Not surprising you didn't know Kodi Burns is our WR coach. Probably 50% of the posters in the new coach thread don't either.

Why does someone have to play a position to be good at coaching that position? Often people who are naturally skilled to play a position are terrible at communicating how to play that position. Good coaches have the ability to teach, it doesn't matter the position.

BUT our last TWO WR Coaches have no clue.

Well, Craig knows how to HANG OUT with WRs and say "Errrythang's GUCCI!"

For the most part in college you either get a coach or a recruiter. You are fortunate when you can get both. WR is a position that mostly revolves around talent, other than sharp routes. Our WR's are better under KB than DC. However, our QB doesn't have the time to find them for the most part. When you look at our OL from a talent stand point it is understandable to be critical of Hand. However, it might be a function of how Gus' runs an O practice.
