Byron Cowart will overshadow Carl Lawson this year....call me crazy but I believe he will have one of the greatest defensive performances of any freshman Auburn has ever had.

You're crazy.

He'll be good, though.

yeah, Im sure a freshman just out of high school will be way better than a 3 year guy who has been lifting/training and eating on a custom nutrition program not to mention has been working in Muschamps scheme since spring

Now with that sarcasm out of the way, I will say that I could see teams doubling up on Lawson and Cowart reaping the benefits as we get deeper into the season but I do not think he will overshadow Lawson

One has been referred to as "unblockable" all offseason, the other complained on twitter because he was getting hounded for his performance.

Sure I am just making a dumb prediction. More posts equals more credibility of course. Cowart is going to be the sack leader over Lawson this year.

The only way this will happen is if Carl gets hurt. I believe Byron will be awesome but Carl is a freak

I agree that he will not overshadow Lawson, but how well do you keep up with AU football? Muschamp has said more than once that Cowart is going to play and play a lot starting with the first game against Louisville.

Possible, if Carl gets the double team. Having this type D-line is a luxury we have not had in a very long time.
