Stidham spent an off year in 2016 training with quarterback guru Trenton Kirklin in Waco, Texas and utilized the offseason in 2017 to train with other quarterbacks, including a stint with former NFL player Jordan Palmer in California.

“Jarrett throws just as well or better than anyone in the country,” Palmer told Auburn Undercover in the spring. “I would say he definitely is, in my experience, in terms of arm talent, he’s top 3 in college and there’s a chance he’s No. 1. He’s also sneaky athletic. I don’t think of athleticism in terms of 40 time. I think in terms of ability to buy time and get more alligators — or Mississippis — before the player can get you. Jarrett has the opportunity to do that. And then confidence wise he’s gotta be one of the more mature quarterbacks in the country and I can definitely speak to that. He’s right there in terms of most mature.”
“I expect for him to win the Heisman,” Kirklin said in the spring. “I know that may be farfetched for some but just knowing the kid, I expect nothing less. He has that ability to do that and he pushes everybody around him. I think he can go in there and he’s the type of kid that he has that X-factor that you just don’t understand until you’re around the kid. Success follows him wherever he’s at. That’s what he is.”

Does that mean the pitchforks and torches can go away for now? I'm sure some depth chart tidbit will come out in the next few days that makes someone want to get them back out though.
