Spin off thread. How would you fix our defense?

I would haul their asses down to Pat Dye's farm and make them chase small quick farm animals. Sounds crazy, but it would teach them a shite ton about playing under control, taking proper angles and leverage. Cassanova looked decent at end the other day, but he doesn't play under control and ends up wiffing on tackles because he doesn't anticipate the ball carrier changing direction.

This sucks and so did the crowd last night at the AU vsLSU volleyball game. The mood around here is like a funeral home. Even though we won.

1. I would take Marcus Davis and Darious Slayton and move them to defense since they won't be used on offense.
2. Move Cowart to DT
3. Cass at Buck Tre Williams MLB and Trey Mathews OLB
4. Keep Frost off field
5. Jam wrs at the los like UF did Ole Miss.

If you ever get a chance, go back and watch Nick's highlights, specifically watch how he played with his hands. There is one move in particular where as the ball is snapped you see him quickly grab a lineman's hands or wrist and give them a hard yank towards him to shift their balance and then quickly swim move past them. It's something so small and insignificant but if you look for it you will see how incredibly effective it was to get him in the backfield. Hell he may not have even known he was doing it.
I believe we have talent but it's really the little things that are holding us back. We are well below average defensively, but we could be a lot better if we refined some of our technique. We could have and should have had several sacs last weekend but guys left their feet and that quick qb spun out of tackles. Better technique leads to players playing under control.
