So we're giving up on White...JFIII or WB?

I was on Team White from the get-go last year. I still think he's an SEC caliber QB who has been hamstrung by lack of imagination by our OC/HC.

That said, he's not going to turn it around under the current regime. And JJ is done. So do we live or die with JFIII, for all his shortcomings, or do we roll the dice with WB and just say we'll get 'em next year?

There are pros and cons on both sides. Let's hear yours.

JF3 should not be a qb at auburn. The dude did not even know the down in the game. Woefully unprepared and not intelligent enough to learn our 6 plays.

Its simple really. Sean is our best option at Qb, but we need the threat of JF3 to open up running lanes. Soooo put fricking JF3 as our jet sweep/WR guy. How hard is that?

If Gus would call plays like he did on the TD drive and for most of the Arky St game we should be 3-0. You have to let Sean throw on early downs but a bunch of intermediate and short stuff. You cant try to run it on 1st down against a 9 man box, not with this O line. You also cant pass on 3rd and long with this O line. White finally got in a rhythm on the TD drive, but Gus went to tricky shite the next couple drives and it was over. Petway should start and our O should look like it did in 2009. If we could score 28pts a game with our D we would win most of them.

Indeed. That shite we're running now has NO resemblance to the offense we ran in 2009 with an utterly immobile QB with a bad shoulder.

Obviously, Gus lost the playbook to that season and wrote down 4 plays (8 plays when the whirly-bird variation is added on) on a memo-pad when we had NM has a QB and has decided that's all he needs.

I'm just at a loss for words. What the frick is the matter with Gus? Why can't he tailor the offense to his 2009 level with similar style QB playing? Why is he trying to run the 2013 level offense with Sean at QB? It is just so fricking frustrating watching the game and the playcalling. Other than the TD drive, it was just painful. We have talented players that can win just based on ability, and its like he's robbing them of that with the peewee junior high play calling.

I remember his Arky St QB being one of the best touchdown passing machines in the nation.

No OL protection. You will need someone that can run for his life. JFIII can at least run for 14 yds when you need 16...

In your scenario does Gus let WB throw? or is he not allowed like SW?

Id hate to make Woody damaged goods. His confidence will go down the tube so fast. I say live and die with JF3 and Sean.

I'd say stick with White and pepper in some JFIII when needed.

Gus should have brought JFIII in for a couple of series in the 3rd quarter and let White continue to play.

Let Woody play. He definitely looks the part. And as far as being a true frosh, other teams in the SEC are winning games with true freshmen. Why redshirt him when hes just gonna transfer as soon as gus is gone?

If Gus has decided that White isn't going to start, I would like to see Woody play no point in wasting time with a guy that doesn't know the fricking down.

In 2009 Gus had a legit, SEC level oline that was already elite when he arrived. I have never believed SW was an SEC caliber QB, but with the talent we have even if he was he hamstrings our offense because he doesn't help the oline.
