I bet Peyton Barber is going to be the man with the ball most next year. Hopefully he has Mason like bear crawl abilities.

Where is all the hype for Barber coming from? I'm not saying he isn't going to be the man next year because I have no clue but I am curious as to what these expectations are based on? The only thing I can remember being said about him since August is something from Tre.

Tim Horton the RB coach

quote:

"I think Peyton Barber has a great future in front of him,” Auburn running backs coach Tim Horton said. “He was one of those kids that we didn’t want to waste a year on because he’s someone we can see really being a major contributor for us years down the road.

It was a great year for him because he got bigger, stronger, faster and learned the offense a lot better. He’s going to be a special player for us.”

I'm wondering if they might redshirt Roc at this point.

CAP, Grant, and Barber would be a pretty talented lineup. RB by committee sounds like a good idea.

I want to say there is a quote from Mason during the season saying he felt like Barber is the best running back on the team, but he needed his redshirt year to learn the offense.

No reason to RS Roc. I just have this feeling, dunno why it's just there.
